OMG!  Eleanor Roosevelt said do something every day that scares you.  Well, I got the shit scared out of me today.  Wow, it was incredible but very very scary. I video taped up the mountain and down the mountain.  We shall see if that will upload.  Oh I should say where I went. I drove to the top of Mt. Washington.  The highest point on in the Northeast (6288).  You go above the tree line which rarely happens in the East.  OMG!  I shall say that over and over.  At times I couldn’t look anywhere but ahead as it was too scary.  Much scarier going up than down.  They give you this whole lecture about your car and make sure you know how to put the car in manual low.  You go up and down in low.  At times it looks like you are driving to heaven.  It was breathtaking!  It was cloudy until I got so high and then it was crystal flea and sunny.  So weird to drive and have the clouds below you.  I met another woman at the top who had also done the drive alone.  She said she was so scarred she had to go back down before she thought about it too much!

Most incredible view!

When it started to get cloudy and fog was rolling in, I came down the mountain.  That actually was pretty fast and I was out of the alpine area fairly quickly.  I then went to hike the beginning of Tuckerman Ravine.  Needless to say I didn’t make it that far.  I was still sucking wind from walking around on the summit.  But I probably got 3/10’s of a mile up the trail.  I went a little past crystal falls. Also lovely!  The sound incredible.  It muddy and really steep and I must say I got very scarred again by myself out there.  This time I didn’t push on through but turned around.  It was starting to rain so that helped me to justify.  It was a good day and beautiful day.  I am now enjoying my cabin and reliving my experience.

Where I stopped and listened for a bit!
