Life has been good, but it is time to change my life. I have been sitting wallowing in my apathy. Not knowing what next to do and can’t seem to get inspired to do anything. I have read lots of self help and listened repeatedly to Tony Robbins (who is great, not his fault I can’t get pumped), but I can’t seem to get inspired. I blame menopause, but what good is it to place blame. I was still in a ‘funk’. Well, maybe it was finally time along with the book I read, but I am now getting inspired to take my life back. I read “You are a bad ass” at just the right time and finally got an idea that ‘pumps me up’. I want to drive all through every state in the US. Hopefully in a Vanagon (if I can get my brother to fix it fix up). I love this car, it is falling apart but so much fun to drive. It is a little camper on 4 wheels. I have always wanted to drive all through the West and have done so in little bits, but now I want to take on the US. So exciting to think of driving around and seeing this incredible country, so diverse in every element. The variances in the trees, the grass, the hills, the streams, the rivers. All so different from state to state and yet all so alike. And don’t get me started on the variances of the people – really I mean. We are a country of immigrants from everywhere. I am nothing but a mutt. We are all a variety of everything. How fitting that we all come to this incredible land of magnificent variety.
So, I am going to go around, talk to people, take pictures and find out what is so special about each state. Of course there are numerous special things, but I can definitely try to uncover what makes each state special for me.
Side note – I desperately need to lose weight and get healthier, but I still need to try and discover the special foods and drinks of each state. It will be the Patti Mc listing of State Food and State drink for each state. We have state flowers, flags and trees. Why not state food and drink? Could be that we do, and I just don’t know about it?
